How does the five-day free trial work?
Choose PrepFAA with monthly or annual billing. A default payment method and verified primary email are required. Eligible accounts receive five days of full plan access with no charge today and no question limit. Clerk allows one trial per verified primary email in PrepFAA; former paid subscribers and accounts that already used a trial use paid checkout instead. Clerk sends an automatic reminder three days before an uncanceled trial ends.
Should I choose monthly or annual billing?
Both billing options include the same PrepFAA plan with all 8 supported FAA test banks. Monthly is $29.95 per month. Annual is $239.40 upfront for the full year, equivalent to $19.95 per month and $120 less than 12 monthly payments. Eligible new accounts can try PrepFAA free for five days with a payment method on file. Choose a billing period before signup; checkout confirms eligibility, the full amount, and the trial length.
Can I cancel my subscription or get a refund?
Cancel renewal: Cancel from your account at any time. Your paid access continues through the end of your billing period. Canceling alone does not request a refund.
Cancel a trial: Cancel in Plan & Billing before its first charge date. You keep access through the original trial end date without a charge. Your account and progress stay saved when Study access ends.
Billing or refund help: Email support@prepfaa.com if you need help with a charge or want us to review a refund request. Requests are reviewed individually. Canceling stops future renewal and does not automatically refund a payment already made. Your account and study history stay saved.
Does PrepFAA provide the endorsement for my FAA written test?
PrepFAA does not issue instructor endorsements. After completing practice exams, you can download a performance report to share with your CFI. It shows your scores, strengths, and areas needing more review, helping your instructor assess your preparation before issuing any required knowledge-test endorsement. Your instructor makes the final readiness determination.
How will I know when I’m ready for my FAA knowledge test?
Practice exams help you check your preparation with randomized questions and answers hidden until submission. The number of questions and time limit depend on your selected test. Review each completed exam before starting another. The program’s completion target is two reviewed scores of at least 90%; they do not need to be consecutive. Use your results and areas needing review to discuss readiness with your instructor. Meeting the practice target does not guarantee an FAA test result or replace any required endorsement.
Plans and access
Can I change test banks?
Yes. PrepFAA lets you choose any supported bank to begin. After switching banks, you’ll wait 14 days before switching again. Your progress stays saved in each bank. Contact support to request an earlier change.
What happens to my progress when I switch?
Your progress stays saved separately for each test bank, so you can pick up where you left off when you return.
Five-day free trial
What happens when my trial ends?
Unless you cancel, Clerk charges your default payment method: $29.95 per month for PrepFAA monthly or $239.40 upfront for the full year for PrepFAA annual. Your subscription then renews automatically at that interval unless canceled. View your exact trial end date and first charge in Plan & Billing after starting. If you cancel during the trial, no charge is made and access lasts through the original end date. A failed trial conversion ends Study access immediately, with no grace period. Your account, progress, and history stay saved in either case.
Studying with PrepFAA
How does PrepFAA help me prepare for my test?
PrepFAA is a guided knowledge-test study aid that complements your ground school and instruction. The four-step program helps you learn the material, focus on weak areas, and check your progress:
Step 1See every answerReview every category with correct answers, explanations, and supporting references visible.
Step 2Fix your weak spotsMissed questions and “I don’t know” answers stay in your study loop, so you keep practicing them until you master each category.
Step 3Master the complete bankCombine every category and keep working through the questions that still need attention until you master the complete bank.
Step 4Confirm your readinessConfirm your readiness with realistic practice exams.
Do questions include explanations, figures, and FAA references?
Yes. PrepFAA connects questions with clear explanations, relevant figures, and supporting FAA source references when that source material is available, helping you understand why an answer is correct instead of memorizing a letter.
Is my progress saved if I leave and return?
Yes. PrepFAA saves your active study session, question order, attempts, and resume position so you can continue after refreshing the page, leaving the application, or restarting your browser.
Can I study on my phone, tablet, or computer?
Yes. The PrepFAA study interface adapts to modern phone, tablet, and computer browsers. Because your study data is saved through the online application, an internet connection is required.
How long should I plan to study?
Your preparation time depends on the test, your existing knowledge, and how consistently you study. Work through the guided program, review explanations for weak areas, and use your practice-exam results to decide what needs more attention. Set your test date with your instructor based on your preparation rather than a fixed number of study hours.
About PrepFAA
Will I see the exact same questions on my FAA knowledge test?
PrepFAA prepares you with practice questions, explanations, and source references for your selected FAA knowledge test. We cannot guarantee which questions will appear on your exam or that their wording will match. Understanding the reasoning behind each answer helps you handle unfamiliar wording and variations.
Where can I get help or report a question that looks wrong?
Email support@prepfaa.com for help, even before you sign up. You can also use the Support link in the study interface. To report a question, explanation, figure, or reference, include the question number and a brief description.
Question content, explanations, and supporting references are maintained as source material is reviewed. FAA testing guidance can change, so check the FAA’s current requirements for your selected test and discuss any changes with your instructor.
Is PrepFAA affiliated with the FAA?
No. PrepFAA is an independent knowledge-test study aid and is not affiliated with or endorsed by the Federal Aviation Administration.
